Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using T'allez ("the Service"), operated by Main Method LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

T'allez is a web-based fencing scoring application that provides real-time bout scoring, fencing tournament data import, live score sharing, and offline support. The Service is currently in a pre-release state and features may change without notice.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

The Service uses anonymous authentication. You are not required to create an account or provide personal information to use the scoring features. Anonymous sessions are tied to your device and browser. If you join our waitlist, you voluntarily provide your email address.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user data, or our underlying systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written consent.

5. User Content

Scoring data, bout records, and session information you create through the Service ("User Content") remain yours. By using the live share feature, you grant us a limited license to transmit your scoring data to viewers you authorize via share code. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Main Method LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The T'allez name and logo are trademarks of Main Method LLC.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including fencing tournament websites for data import. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Scoring data is provided for informational purposes and should not be considered official. Always defer to official scoring equipment and referees for competitive results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Main Method LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
